Capturing an elopement (especially with a same sex couple) in the redwoods has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember and I wanted to book a wedding here so so bad. So what better way then to setup a styled shoot there and show what I can do!?
My friends Ali and Emma joined me, we planned everything out and then headed out on a road trip to the coast early this March. We also had the amazing opportunity to work with Moonlight Lace Boutique and use two of their incredible dresses for our models!
We stayed in the Elk California Retreat Airbnb’s and they were so beautifully made and so much thought put into every single detail. Highly highly recommend if you want a peaceful getaway in the forest close to the coast!
We all met the day before the shoot to check into the airbnb’s, meet each other and grab dinner together on the coast! After that we drove back and crashed before the big day.
Roni and Cass came over bright and early to our airbnb the next morning to get ready with us! They helped each other get ready and danced in the kitchen with their robes and fuzzy socks on hahah it was the best! We then headed to the airbnb they stayed in to take photos in the cutest lil bathtub overlooking the woods.
Everything about this trip was a dream. We explored the redwoods and got away for a few days in nature and created magic! So thankful for my friends who joined me and helped make this dream happen.
