Self Care Tips During a Crisis/Quarantine

Create & stick to a routine!

This will help all the days not to blur together. Wake up when you normally do, set your intentions for the day, eat breakfast, etc.

Get outta your pjs!

Yes you can TOTALLY be comfy, but you’ll feel so much better if you’re not in the same sweat pants for 24 hours.

Sweat/move your body for a least 20 minutes a day.

Do an at home workout (@whitneysimmons is my go to right now!), do some yoga, stretch, take your pup on a longer walk where it’s safe— keep your body MOVINNN!

Start + end every day with intention.

How do you want to feel? What are you grateful for? Write them down. Shout them to the world, put them on your mirror— constantly remind yourself of the GOOD you do have.

Make your bed.

I promise it makes a difference.

Get some fresh air

Step onto your patio, get some wind on your face, walk around the neighborhood, go for a drive

Do something creative or fun!

Paint, draw, sew, create a TikTok account & show us your dance moves haha, bake something yummy— do what makes you feel fulfilled!!

FaceTime a friend!

Cry, vent, laugh, dance, have a virtual happy hour— get in that human interaction since we shouldn’t be doing it in person. Call up your people so you don’t feel alone or isolated!!

REST.

Allocate time to totally be unproductive & just be. Catch up on sleep. Watch some Netflix or a movie. Read a book. Diffuse some oils & turn on some tunes. Have some wine. Enjoy this time to clear your mind and rest while you can.

We have to show up for ourselves guys!! Your mental health is SO important. Not only for your health but so so we can be there for our families and friends and community and our clients!!

Remember that IT’S OKAY not to be okay right now. Give yourself grace and take things one step & one day at a time!!
