Maria and Cristian’s Sunset Lake Tahoe Elopement was an absolute dream!! They celebrated with 10 of their loved ones. Come check it out:
Getting Ready at the Airbnb
Maria and Cristian rented out the cutest Airbnb in Incline Village in Lake Tahoe. They had a slow morning… soaking up the day with their families and best friends. As the afternoon rolled around, they started to get ready for their elopement!!
I spent the morning scouting for some upcoming shoots and elopements, and also checked out their ceremony site we picked out as well, just to make sure everything was good & get a feel for the area again before it was time.
I showed up to their Airbnb and Maria was so excited!! She was sitting in the room next to the window, as her hair was getting finished. Shoutout to Kayla for doing such an amazing job!!
Cristian was downstairs hanging out with his friends, and then headed outside for his first look with Maria! She met him outside with all the stunning greenery surrounding them, and they both got so emotional and teared up!!

Sunset Ceremony overlooking Lake Tahoe
The three of us and their 10 guests headed to the ceremony spot, and started hiking up to the spot! PS I’d love to show you this hidden gem too, inquire here & we can chat about it!! Once we arrived, their officiant started the ceremony. She was bi-lingual, which was perfect since most of their family didn’t speak English.
They shared their vows as the sun started to get softer and softer, and it was truly one of the most magical ceremonies I’ve ever captured. Most ceremonies are a few hours before sunset, which gives us more time for photos afterwards (like bridals and family photos), but their ceremony was right before sunset, and it was stunning!! We still had time for photos afterwards during blue hour too. One of their guests was crying and said, “watching you get married at sunset is something I’ll never forget”.

Sunset Bridals & Airbnb Reception
We took some family photos, and captured these two newlyweds overlooking the lake until the last bits of light were left! Since their elopement was in October, yes it was freezing once the sun went away, but so worth it!! We bundled up in coats and headed back to the cars, to meet their family back at the Airbnb for dinner.
Their families cooked all their favorite homemade food, and the yummiest mixed drinks!! The Airbnb was glowing under candlelight, and they decorated the kitchen with tables and plates to make their evening so special. Their loved ones shared speeches, they ate lots of yummy food, cut the cake and danced the night away!!
