A Stunning Fall Valhalla Tahoe Wedding – Katelyn & Ryan’s Wedding Day

Katelyn and Ryan’s wedding at Valhalla Tahoe was timeless, classy and absolutely stunning! They got married at Valhalla Tahoe, which is located in South Lake Tahoe, and is one of my favorite venues to work at! It’s a historic wedding venue surrounded by pine trees and lake views, space to get ready on site and tons of room to celebrate your wedding weekend!

Katelyn got ready upstairs with her bridesmaids as natural light filled the room, while Ryan got ready with his groomsmen in the guys’ getting-ready space just a few doors down. The morning was calm and relaxing, setting the tone for the entire wedding day.

One of the most emotional moments happened before the ceremony when Katelyn shared a first look with her dad under the pine trees outside. The instant he saw her, he started crying and it was so beautiful to capture!

Fall Ceremony in the Forest at Valhalla

Their Valhalla Tahoe wedding ceremony was truly unforgettable. Katelyn intentionally angled the ceremony toward the lake so the sunlight would fall perfectly between her and Ryan as they exchanged vows — something I’ve never seen before, and it was absolutely epic. Also! Katelyn’s aunt officiated and married them, making the ceremony that much more meaningful.

Katelyn and Ryan chose to have an “aisle look” and see each other for the first time during their ceremony. They wanted this moment to be everything they’ve dreamt about, and be filled with so much emotion surrounded by all of their loved ones. They laughed, cried, and did the damn thing!!

Cocktail hour took place on Valhalla’s back lawn and the weather was absolutely perfect this fall evening. There were aps, cocktails, and loved ones mingling while we took family photos nearby.

Boathouse Portraits at Sunset at Valhalla

As the sun began to set, we snuck away for sunset portraits on the dock and inside Valhalla’s iconic boathouse. The silhouette photos inside the boathouse as the sun dipped behind the lake were absolutely to die for — moody, romantic, and some of my absolute favorite work.

Dinner followed inside under candlelight, surrounded by their favorite people! The space felt intimate and cozy, filled with heartfelt toasts and shared laughter. The night ended dancing the night away and a bubble send-off to end the night!!

Katelyn and Ryan’s Valhalla Tahoe wedding was such a dream to be apart of! Congrats x a million you two!!! I’m so happy for you both!
