Beautiful Summer Wedding at The Landing Tahoe Resort

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at The Landing is that everything is in one place — the suites are spacious, full of natural light, and only steps away from the ceremony space on the deck, overlooking the water. It’s such a calm, easy start to the day.
Katie & Preston’s Wedding Day
Katie and Preston got engaged fall of 2024, which you can checkout here! I also captured their engagement photos later that winter, which you can see here. The day we’ve all been looking for was finally here- their wedding day!! It’s been an absolute honor being able to capture so many milestones for them, and can’t wait capturing their life’s memories.
They decided to have a smaller wedding, and invite around 40ish people to their wedding in Lake Tahoe. They rented out an Airbnb in South Lake Tahoe, and got ready there. You saw the brides dad upstairs making homemade sandwiches, the groomsmen hanging out playing pool downstairs, and the girls getting their makeup done with the door cracked, letting a cool breeze drift in.
When I arrived, I photographed her dress hung up, and all the candid moments of them getting ready!
First look at Heavenly Village
After they got ready, the boys left and I drove Katie to her first look! We decided on this stunning spot near the Airbnb that was under the pine tress, where they were surrounded by the forest. As Katie walked up to Preston, he was shocked and so excited to see her! He got tears in his eyes as they saw each other for the first time all dressed up on their wedding day
Ceremony at The Landing Tahoe Resort
Everyone met up for their beautiful ceremony at The Landing! They shared their vows, and committed their lives to each other with the water glistening in the distance. It was so beautiful!!
Reception at Primos Lake Tahoe
After their ceremony, everyone went to Primos for dinner, drinks, and celebrated all evening! Primo’s is this beautiful new restaurant in South Lake Tahoe, and I’d honestly never heard of it before their wedding! Stunning outdoor space for hosting their 40 guests, with glass windows and sunshine streaming in on the patio.
They enjoyed lots of wine, charcuterie plates and yummy entrees, while they mingled, shared stories & toasts, and danced the night away.
Katie & Preston — your wedding was an absolute dream and it’s been an honor getting to capture so many of your life’s milestones! Congrats x a million my friends.
