Billy and Amanda had the most stunning Lake Tahoe proposal this winter!! He popped the question overlooking the lake & she was so surprised, come check it out!

Planning the Proposal

A few weeks before their proposal, Billy reached out to me and wanted my help documenting this epic moment when they got engaged. Once we secured their date, we got straight to planning!!

Billy knew that he wanted to keep me (as a photographer) a secret until the actual moment was happening, since he knew Amanda would know he was proposing if we were planning a photo shoot of any sort. We decided to get Amanda’s sister involved, and we planned an excuse to take photos of the two of them! She totally bought it and started planning outfits and was getting so excited!

The Proposal

The day of the proposal was here, and we all met up at the parking lot to hike up to the spot together. Billy wanted to propose somewhere that was special to the two of them, and we ended up choosing this spot in North Lake Tahoe that they’d hiked before!

The proposal took place in December, so the weather was definitely chilly and a little bit overcast that morning. But it honestly made for the most incredible photos, even though we were a bit cold haha. The time came and Billy got on one knee and proposed to Amanda!! She was so surprised and excited and of course said yes! We were all freaking out, and so happy for them and documenting this moment was an absolute dream.

After they got engaged and soaked it all in, we took some more photos! We explored for a bit… documenting this time in their lives, all the emotions that came with it, and taking some epic portraits with Lake Tahoe in the background.

It was a dream to capture this time in your lives B & A!! Congrats x a million!!
