If you’re dreaming of a summer wedding at Austin Ridge in Truckee, CA, you’re likely drawn to its wide-open mountain views and reception space, peaceful forest setting, and relaxed, elevated feel. Tucked just outside of downtown Truckee, Austin Ridge is the perfect venue for your summer wedding! The venue is wide open, giving couples stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountains, it’s a dream! It’s perfect for couples who want their day to feel natural, intimate, and connected to the outdoors.

Here’s Why Austin Ridge is a Stunning Wedding Venue

From a photography perspective, Austin Ridge is UNREAL. The property offers everything, truly! First off, they have the most stunning getting ready spaces (no ugly brown walls, thank you so much owners hehe). There’s lots of windows for natural light to pour in, and space for all your loved ones to get ready.

The back of the property opens up to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the views are just to die for. You can see mountains as far as your eye can see! There’s an in-ground pool, sauna, separate space for a bar & drinks, and a lawn area for ceremonies. Also, the sun sets right behind the mountains, making your sunset photos absoluetly perfect!!

One of my favorite aspects of this venue is that there’s no service out there. You can truly unplug from the world and soak in the views at this beautiful venue! Not to mention, truly being present with your loved ones since there’s no service. And yes, there’s wifi accessible, but what’s better than no service for your wedding weekend?!

Some venues don’t have it all, but Austin Ridge truly does. From a photographer’s perspective, trust me on this one. I’ve been shooting weddings for almost a decade, and I can honestly say that this venue kicks-ass.

Greta & JJ’s Wedding at Austin Ridge

Greta & JJ had the most incredible wedding day at Austin Ridge!! The girls got ready on property, and the boys got ready in an Airbnb nearby! I captured Greta’s detail photos, and noticed that JJ hand wrote her a letter and then burned the edges, it was so beautiful!! Check it out below. After I captured detail photos, Greta and her girls got ready for the day! She had first looks with a few of her family members, and also gave them gifts! Everyone was in tears, it was so sweet!

Austin Ridge Wedding Ceremony

Then it was time for their ceremony!! They had their beautiful ceremony on the lawn at Austin Ridge with the trees in the background. JJ saw Greta for the first time on their wedding day at their ceremony, and was in tears seeing her. She looked SO stunning, how could he not!? They both shared their personal vows, said I do, and did the damn thing!!! It was beautiful!

The rest of the evening was spent celebrating Greta and JJ!! They had their reception next to the pool, overlooking the mountains, and it was a dream! They shared dances, speeches, and danced the night away with their loved ones.

One of my favorite moments has to be capturing their sunset photos though. The sun pouring in over the mountain line was truly a dream, and giving them a moment to themselves was so special!!
