Tahoe Blue Estate Wedding || Courtney & Hunter
This Tahoe Blue Estate Wedding truly goes down as the most memorable, impactful wedding day I’ve ever captured. Keep reading to learn more about Courtney & Hunter’s wedding day, and about getting married at Tahoe Blue Estate!
Tahoe Blue Estate
If you’re envisioning a wedding that’s timeless, unforgettable, and deeply rooted in natural beauty, Tahoe Blue Estate promises an exceptional space for your wedding on every level. Nestled on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, this venue has one of the most epic views of Lake Tahoe where you can truly see almost the entire lake, with room for getting ready and all of your reception events.
Great for all Seasons
Tahoe Blue Estate strikes the perfect balance between elegance and ease. With an open-concept pavilion adjacent to expansive decks, guests can drift freely between indoor comfort and outdoor charm. Even in unpredictable mountain weather, you’ll benefit from the shaded and sheltered pavilion space without losing connection to the stunning landscape. This elevated flexibility means your event remains beautiful—and comfortable—no matter what the forecast throws your way. This is why Tahoe Blue Estate is a great option no matter what season you want to get married in!
Exclusive Guest Experience
Designed with intention, Tahoe Blue feels upscale yet intimate. This venue only allows a max of 25-30 guests or so (contact the owners for an exact limit) which keeps the space very intimate for your closest loved ones! With ample space at Tahoe Blue, you & your guests can mingle without feeling crowded. There’s lots of little areas with lounge seating to create easy connection & comfortability! The Estate’s team typically collaborates with preferred vendors to help streamline planning—from catering to décor—letting you focus on what truly matters: celebrating with friends and family in a setting that reflects who you are.
An All-In-One Venue
Beyond the ceremony and reception, Tahoe Blue offers the ability to turn your wedding into a whole wedding weekend experience. Rehearsal dinners can take place on the terrace overlooking the lake, while morning-after brunches flow naturally into lakeside gatherings. And for you and your partner, now you have a venue that offers it all, so you don’t have to look elsewhere. Everything you could want is included at Tahoe Blue Estate.
Courtney & Hunter’s Wedding Day
This past Spring of 2025, I had the honor of capturing Courtney & Hunter’s wedding day at Tahoe Blue Estate! They got ready & celebrated their ceremony there, and then headed to Riva Grill for their reception!
Getting Ready Moments
The morning of their wedding was absolutely perfect. I took bridals and getting ready photos, had plenty of time to get creative, and Courtney was dancing in the living room in her dress listening to “Bridgerton” music overlooking the lake.

All the kids at this wedding had me melting. Hunter shared a first look and danced with his daughter, and it was truly the sweetest moment. They danced and laughed and shared a moment together, which was incredible! And then I saw two other kids giggling and running around saying “we’re gonna get married” after they grabbed snacks in the kitchen. This was them in the spare room as I walked by the window. I captured them coloring and laughing by covering the reflection with my body so I could see them.
The Ceremony
The ceremony started and everyone started to make their entrances. The brides grandma and grooms grandma sat next to each other & I caught them smiling right before the bride walked down. I almost decided not to share this part of Courtney & Hunter’s wedding day, but I kept feeling God’s presence to share their full story. It’s extremely difficult to share but it’s what really happened. It’s taken me days to find the right words, be respectful & tender to this beautiful family, and share the story through His words.

Moments after I took this photo, Grandma Charlotte (black dress) collapsed. Everyone started trying to help her right away. She wasn’t responding and stopped breathing. Multiple people called 911, and thankfully there were a lot of guests who were police officers, so they started operating CPR. Everyone ran into the house to try and find a defibrillator or anything to help.
Tahoe Blue Estate has tons of stairs from the ceremony leading to the front of the property. A decision was made to have all the men carry her on a wooden bench to the front of the property, so the paramedics could take her to the hospital quicker without having to come all the way down to the ceremony space to help her.
Once the ambulance took Grandma Charlotte to the hospital and she was in their care, the couple took some time to decide how to move forward. Charlotte is the groom’s grandmother, so the bride left it up to him on what to do. They ultimately decided to have their ceremony & get married, and then left to go to the hospital right after to be with her.

The Reception
They spent a few hours at the hospital, changed back into their wedding clothes, and decided to come to their reception to see all of their loved ones. They celebrated their reception at Riva Grill, which was right down the hill from Tahoe Blue Estate! Very close for them and their loved ones. The entire evening was extremely difficult for everyone, especially for Hunter and their immediate family. They knew Charlotte would want them to celebrate their marriage and surround themselves with all of their loved ones, so that’s what they did and it was beautiful. They hugged all of their loved ones, danced, laughed, cried, and celebrated all night long.

Thinking back to this moment gave me chills. This was the last photo of grandma Charlotte, and she was smiling right at the camera. What’s even more of a total God moment, is that I usually don’t take photos of the front row of guests this early into the ceremony, I usually wait until everyone is seated & the officiant begins speaking. But I felt an urge to just take these photos anyways and I always follow my intuition & God’s voice, and I’m so thankful I did. Rest in peace, Charlotte. You have so many family and people who love you so much.
