Why get married at the Tannenbaum in Lake Tahoe?

The Tannenbaum is one of my favorite venues in Lake Tahoe! There’s so many stunning features that the Tannenbaum offers, and that’s why so many couples love getting married here. Julia and Tom chose to get married at the Tannenbaum because of how close it is to Reno — making it really accessible for all of their guests. They also chose this venue because of the proximity of how close it is to Lake Tahoe. The Tannenbaum is only about a 15 minute drive from an overlook of the lake, and I actually ended up taking Julia and Tom here for some of their portraits on their wedding day! This stunning venue has getting ready spaces, catering that is already bundled in from Roundabout (delicious), the most incredible staff who is friendly and always attentive to your needs, and a beautiful ceremony spot in the back overlooking the forest.

This venue is definitely a favorite of my couples, and that’s why I end up shooting her multiple times per year!

Summer Lake Tahoe Wedding

Julia and Tom got ready at the Tannenbaum downstairs in the separate getting ready spaces. It was the most beautiful, warm summer day and there was a light breeze outside the windows! Literally perfect haha.

Julia reviewed over her vows as I took a few photos of her wedding details. She got ready with her family and then I popped into the next room to take photos of Tom getting ready for his big day as well!They were both so excited and filled with so many jitters, eagerly awaiting to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. After they got ready, they had their first look in the grass behind the venue, right next to where they would get married in just a few hours.

Summer Bridals in Lake Tahoe

After their first look, they were down to go take some portraits off property, so this is when we drove up to the overlook to see Lake Tahoe in the background. This 15 minute drive is so beyond worth it to get photos like these. On our way back, we stopped at a meadow and took a few more photos of the two of them! It was such a dream getting to capture Julia and Tom in Lake Tahoe!!

Ceremony at the Tannenbaum

Once we headed back to the venue, we took a few family photos and prepared for their ceremony! Their ceremony was short and sweet, but filled with so many tears and laughs.

The rest of the evening was spent celebrating these two with all of their favorite humans. It was truly such a special day capturing Julia and Tom get married!!!
