San Fransisco Engagement Session

One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is getting to tell my couples’ stories in a way that feels true to them. This San Francisco engagement session was the perfect example of that. A friend and I made the drive from Reno late that morning, and by the afternoon I was meeting up with one of my amazing 2027 wedding couples for an adventure around their hometown! Since they’re San Francisco locals, they planned the perfect route filled with places that were meaningful to them—and it couldn’t have been more epic.

Our first stop was Lovers’ Lane, tucked beneath towering eucalyptus trees in the Presidio. The quiet forest trails created such a romantic backdrop, and it felt like we had escaped the city for a little while. After wandering through the trees, we headed back to their apartment to document another important part of their story: their two cats! I absolutely love when couples incorporate their pets into their engagement session because years from now, those photos will mean the absolute world to them!!

From there, things got even better. These two are huge Taco Bell fans, so naturally we made a quick stop before heading to the beach. We cheers’ed our crunch wrap supreme’s LOL and had some baja blast in the back of my car. Then we ran to the beach!!

We wrapped up the evening on the beach with breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and somehow San Francisco gave us one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever photographed. We had so much fun running around in the sand, chasing the waves coming in, and celebrating Katie and Mitch getting married next year! An absolute dream.
